A Watch Showroom

It’s amazing how a simple apartment ground floor can be completely reborn. We recently wrapped up a renovation for a client who wanted to turn a space within their family compound into a dedicated watch showroom. The challenge? Making a collection of affordable watches feel like a million bucks while packing in a massive amount of storage.
Here is a look at how we brought this "Affordable Luxury" vision to life:
The Vibe: Scandi meets Sophisticated
We leaned heavily into a Scandinavian aesthetic—think clean lines, light wood textures, and soft off-white walls—but we dialed up the "luxe" factor. By mixing in a stunning marble-topped consultation table and sleek glass displays, the space feels high-end and exclusive without being intimidating. It’s the kind of place where you want to pull up a chair, grab a coffee, and take your time picking out a timepiece.
Smart Storage (The Hidden Hero)
If you look at the floor plan, you’ll see we had to be incredibly tactical. Since the client needed to house a large inventory, we didn't just add cabinets; we made them part of the architecture.
• Floor-to-ceiling custom joinery lines the walls.
• The "Storage" (Zone 7) is tucked seamlessly behind the main display area.
• Even the Display (Zone 6) units feature deep drawers at the base, ensuring every square inch of the old apartment layout works overtime.
Lighting is Everything
To get that "boutique" glow, we played with different layers of light. We used warm LED strips hidden within the shelving to make the watches pop, paired with those eye-catching, modern globe pendants over the main table. The light hitting the wood and stone creates this rich, inviting atmosphere that makes even the most budget-friendly watch look like a collector's item.
From Living Room to Showroom
Converting a residential space meant working with a narrow footprint. By keeping the Office (Zone 2) and Packaging Area (Zone 3) toward the back, we kept the flow intuitive. Customers enter a bright, open Showroom (Zone 1) that feels spacious, while the "business" side of things happens quietly in the rear.
It’s a perfect example of how the right materials and a bit of lighting magic can completely shift the energy of a building.
